Ma question peut paraître quelque peu étrange à première vue. Initialement, j'utilise le terme de "press officer" pour qualifier mon travail hors lorsque je regarde sur les sites australiens, je ne trouve rien et celà quelque soit la période. De ce fait, je me dis que les Australiens ont peut-être un autre terme pour ce travail. Avez-vous des informations à ce sujet ?

Je parle du métier d'attaché de presse / Chargé de communication.

Overall Responsibility

The effective communication of the mission, values and work of Medecins Sans Frontieres movement in general, and the Australia section in particular, to relevant audiences particularly donors, association members and supporters, in Australia and New Zealand.

Main Tasks / Duties

Communication within international MSF organisation
• Develop effective relationships in operational and partner sections
• Contribute to the Department’s efforts to ensure that MSF Australia’s work, issues and requirements are clearly understood within the international organisation

Translation
• Provide high quality translation of French language documents from MSF France and other sources, into English for use in publications for specific and broad distribution

Communication standards
• Contribute to the integrity of the MSF brand by ensuring its correct application on all print, electronic and audio visual material

External Communications
• Implement communication programs to reach donors and members of MSF Australia
• Assist with awareness raising events such as photo exhibitions; mobile clinic tours, in collaboration with other Communications Department staff and in liaison with Fund Raising and Field Human resources departments
• Provide input to and implement media relations programmes to support Fundraising campaigns in collaboration with the Press and Information Officer
• Manage the production of MSF’s newsletter ‘Sans Frontieres’ and monthly e-newsletter ‘Stories from the field’
• Collaborate with the Press and Information Officer and Web Manager in sourcing Australian stories and content for the web
• Prepare media releases, briefing papers, presentation material and articles for MSF electronic and print publications
• Assist the Head of Communications in the development of key stakeholder relationship networks
• Assist in monitoring coverage of MSF’s work in the Australian and New Zealand media
• Manage the Speakers Bureau programme, sourcing appropriate field volunteers and MSF staff for participation and ensuring that speakers are appropriately supported with logistics and presentation material

Internal Communications
• Manage preparation and distribution of MSF’s internal newsletter ‘Weekly Update’
• Implement processes to ensure that MSF Australia’s managers and employees are suitably informed of developments and issues relating to the organisation
• Liaise with other MSF Australia departments on communications matters that impact on their areas of operation and on communications related matters

Communication Resources
• Manage the maintenance and currency of the Department’s Manual of Procedures
• Contribute to the maintenance of the knowledge assets (eg video/photo library, reports, country files, archives, reference books) of MSF-A to ensure that managers and staff are able to access the information they need to do their work effectively

Other Duties
• Contribute to strategy development for the Communications Department
• Undertake such activities as required by the Head of Communications


Selection Criteria

Essential
• Experience working in the communications department of a private, public or not-for-profit organisation or in journalism
• Good understanding of the Australian media
• Experience producing a range of information and presentation material
• High level French language skills with demonstrated experience in French to English translation of written documents to a quality suitable for public distribution or publication
• Excellent people and communication skills, including fluency in oral and written English
• Strong organisational and administrative skills with experience managing multiple tasks in a pressured environment
• Current right to work in Australia (non-sponsored)

Desirable
• Knowledge of MSF’s work and role in the humanitarian sector
• Tertiary qualification in communications, journalism or related field

Finalement, c'est peut-etre press officer quand meme car il y a une annonce du consulat de France pour ce poste sur my career.

J'habite au Quebec et je travaille en relations publiques. J'ai regardé les jobs à Sydney dans le domaine et la traduction qui me parait le plus juste serait Press attachee ou plutôt (c'est mon titre en anglais et je fais aussi des relations de presse) Public relation consultant (ou specialist).

J'ai trouvé de nombreuses annonces en tout cas 5 fois plus qu'en France, ce qui est déjà plus que bien.
