Bonjour chez Vous's second birthday.
Would you have any idea about reasonable priced restaurant, french cuisine if possible, so we call all meet and spend a relaxing evening together? or something with the children? or would you preer a brunch somewhere in a cafe? or a zoo outing? etc...
Please share your thoughts!

1./ NEXT MEETING 4th April 2004 C'est Paques! C'est paques!

Next coffee meeting is on the first Sunday 4th April as usual: Enmore Park, Children's resource centre, Enmore from 10am till around 1130am.

We will have a Easter egg hunt.


If you have any good ideas of games, books, songs etc to help our children partipating to that theme, please feel free to do so.

Participation cost per family is still 5$ (unlimited coffee, milk etc...).

You' re welcome to bring a guitar if you feel like singing etc...

PLEASE do know that there is a tarot competition in our centre from 1.30pm so you might like to byo picnic or lunch out around in Newtown etc... Please see the last point (6) as I have included their webpage.

3./ Visite de Mr Louis Duvernois, Senateur representant les francais etablis hors de France

A l'occasion de sa visite en Australie, M. Louis Duvernois, Sénateur
représentant les Français établis hors de France, assurera une
permanence au Consulat général de France, pour recevoir les membres de
la communauté française. Celle-ci se déroulera le lundi 29 mars 2004, de
10h00 à 12h00.
Nous vous serions reconnaissants d'assurer la diffusion la plus large
possible de cette information, auprès de nos concitoyens.

5./ Working Holiday visa

France and Australia signed an agreement on "Working-Holiday" Visas on
24 November, 2003. Both countries agreed to issue young people (between
18 and 30) visas for up to one year allowing them to work while on
holiday in the other country (see: www.consulfrance-sydney.org).

Australia put the agreement into force on 2 January, 2004. For France,
the first visa within this program will be issued by the French
Consul-General in Sydney on Monday, 23 February, 2004 at 9am. Media
Representatives are welcome to attend.

The first beneficiary of the French program will be Kato Nixon, aged 18,
living in Adelaide. He is a cyclist who has been invited by a club in
Brittany to take part in regional races there. Since he will receive
financial support from the club, he could not qualify for a tourist
visa. The "Working Holiday" scheme will allow him to fulfill his
project.

Mr Nixon's passport will be delivered to him by the Honorary Consul of
France in Adelaide, The Hon. Anne Levy, on 24 February, just in time for
his departure to France.
