A leading international metals company is seeking an IT Systems Integrator to assist in the development and installation of an IT structure that will support the operations and management systems of a flagship, world class, primary metal project

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the IT Services Director you will :

- Work with other departments to acquire a good understanding of company systems, work development, information needs and performance measures,
- Assure that the architecture of the applications fulfill the needs of the company
- Identify the appropriate interfaces between different applications
- Continuously update and optimize company procedures by re-engineering and improving IT systems
- Assure that coherent and proven work practices are adopted by the systems analysts
- Assure optimization of data flow
- Revise and update the architecture of the company’s applications with regard to the technological and strategic considerations of the company
- Assure that the analysts and consultants use coherent and proven practices


Requirements:


- Relevant degree
- Experience and knowledge in the principal functions of a mining company
- 15 years of professional experience in industrial IT systems
- Knowledge of ERP software and appropriate application in a mining environment
- Experience in the re-engineering of procedures
- Experience in IT development and project management
- Strong communication skills. Ideal candidates will be able to communicate in French.
- Ability to work autonomously
- Good understanding of teamwork and customer service
- Innovative with a demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems
- Sense of business strategy
- Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with culturally and linguistically diverse staff, clients and consultants
