Mincom Limited provides enterprise solutions focused on improving business outcomes for mining, oil and gas, utilities, transportation, and defence and government industries.

Working in the Mincom Managed Services team, the Desktop Support Administrator is responsible for providing the highest standard of support services for application and outsourcing customers through Mincom’s 24-hour support centre. In providing exemplary service delivery, the Support Administrator is primarily responsible for receiving, recording and responding to all support requests in each respective area of specialisation. The provision of first line technical support will also involve liaison with third party providers to rectify faults, and the maintenance of specific Mincom & client documentation.

Previous experience (1-3 years) in an IT Support role is essential to be considered for this role, ideally gained through administrating Microsoft Exchange 5.5/2000, Windows 2000 and Windows NT4 Server. Experience working within remote administration environments, Citrix client and console administration ability is preferable. Strong troubleshooting ability is also required against the Microsoft Office suite of applications. Lotus notes administration experience is also advantageous but not essential.

Representing Mincom direct to the client, excellent verbal communication skills are essential, as are organisational and time management skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and the flexibility and resilience to work under pressure. It is important that candidates can work well within a team environment, and can demonstrate their initiative, industry and dedication to providing outstanding service levels.

French fluency in terms of written and verbal communication is advantageous but not essential. All applications for this vacancy must be received by Monday 1st December 2003 COB.
