Hello everybody !

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2004

I comeback from Melbourne where I passed my most beautiful holidays in OZ. 8)
But I'm not here to tell you my last trip ( I suppose to boring you so quickly), I'm here to tell you that I found on the net. :)
One of my favorite Australian singer is on tour in OZ, this name is KITTO.

And you could see her in Melbourne in January and February ( I'm very sad  because I can't go in Melbourne to watch her).

You can find more informations on her website: www.whosjack.com

I saw her last June in France and she's a great artist who play very good music.
I hope that more FDU member's could watch and hear her in Melbourne. :D :D

P.S: Sorry for my bad english    , but this year, I decide to write on FDU website only in english for working better my english. If there are more big mistake, tell me it.

Since you asked for it, I must say that your English is downright deplorable. All the same, I congratulate you for trying your best. I suggest you read anything in English, from milk cartons to Shakespeare plays in order to improve your command of the language.

Good luck to your protegee on her forthcoming tour.

Chin up and keep smiling!

Back to the original subject, is anybody interested in checking out the Kitto Concert ?

(1st one is Fri. Jan 23, Cornish Arms Hotel, 163A Sydney Rd, Brunswick).

Si Ozman a nous dit que elle est bon, je crois que elle est bon.

I'm very tempted to go there myself, meme si je vis 100 kms de Melbourne...

It seems she plays a very nice style of music.

Kate :D

Hello everybody !

I note that you like to criticize my english :? , and you're right because it's really terrible  . But, like Jean-Marie has already remarked, I try to make my better and to progress.

Well, I'm not really here to talk you about my english, I would return to the main subject in this post ( thank you Kate to be interested in this subject  ).

I want to give you the text from two Kitto's songs that I prefer:
"VORTEX" and " DAISY JANE". :D

"VORTEX" is a song about the world in perpetual motion that it gives me the giddiness. :)

Citer :
Vortex

Where to begin
And when to arrive
Past, present, future
All seem to collide
Elevator motion, no roof and no ground floor
Skip the motion
*Right now I can’t decide
If it’s 1982 or year 2005
Standing at the platform with my footprints on the planet
Perpetual revolution
In gravity’s graveyard…
Now you got me
A victim and originator
Astronaut, politician
A giver from a taker
Where am I going to land?
Poetry is making sense from a riddle
Right now I can’t decide
If it’s 1982 or year 2005
Standing at the platform with my footprints on the planet
Perpetual revolution
In gravity’s graveyard…
Vortex
Which platform
Can you tell me what year am I standing in?
Behind you or beside you
Crazy chameleon
You flower child conservative
Housewife
Or is it citizen of the world!
Right now I can’t decide
If it’s 1982 or year 2005
Standing at the platform with my footprints on the planet
Perpetual revolution
Perpetual revolution
Right now I can’t decide
If it’s 1982 or year 2005
Standing at the platform with my footprints on the planet
Perpetual revolution…

DAISY JANE" is , for me, the most beautiful love song that a woman can make to his lover. :D

Citer :
Daisy Jane

I remember the silence alone in my heart
Too weary, too tired
To reach out & try
A song’s all I had
Keeping me alive
On the inside
I cry when I remember you sat down one nite
And said, “ I’ll help you, I won’t leave you.
You know I’m too politeâ€
I hadn’t figured out love
Had taken a seat down beside
And now I’m looking into the dawn of a new day
For your love is the smile that you gave to me
Today is the day that will change the rest of my life
The rest of my life
From behind took my hand
I need never look ‘round
You said, “Come, live with meâ€
When even heaven’s home “
Put a ring on my finger
And Daisy Jane
She bloomed a new heart!
Now I’m looking into the dawn, of a new day
Coz your love is the smile I long for and pray
Today is the day that will change the rest of my life
The rest of my life
And today is the day that will change the rest of my life
The rest of my life
It’s all about you why I’m writing this down
Coz it’s your Daisy Jane
Who’s singing to you right now
Daisy Jane
And now I’m looking into the dawn of a new day
For your love is the smile that you gave to me
Today is the day that has changed the rest of my life
The rest of my life
Now I’m looking into the dawn, of a new day
Coz your love is the smile I long for and wait
Today is the day that has changed the rest of my life
The rest of my life

Sa voix est incroyable....the deepest female voice on a vocalist I've ever heard in my life, but after we got over the shock and she found at least 3 higher songs, it was good.

And at least she could play guitar, besides sing. I found the lyrics well written too.

Kate
