It was great to see so many FDUers at the Fete de la Musique at St Kilda Bowling Club hier soir!... many more than I was expecting to see since I didn't get many replies to the invitation....so all the extra people were a nice bonus.

There was Antoine, JP Melbourne, Coolfred et sa copine, JCB, Anne, Mike & Maud, Pech (and maybe some others I didn't know were FDU members or didn't find).

By the music part of the night, the 2 rooms were really quite full of Frenchies! (Desolee, too dark for photos).
Amazing. If I'd known there would be so many people, I'd have brought along some FDU cards to scatter around.
However as Frenchies met Frenchies who knew Frenchies, Francedownunder did get mentioned quite a bit, so there's some publicity for you, Sand :D

Part way through the evening, a few of us went out to Fitzroy St in search of a restaurant and found a very nice pizza place.

L - R clockwise: JCB, Kate, Coolfred, Florence, Mike et Maud.

For those who were there, if you'd like to see the other photos taken on the night, I've put them temporarily on my website ici:

It was a chilly night out (warmer in Melbourne than Ballarat though!) but lots of fun and well worth it (even if I did have to drive through thick sleet/neige pour la premier fois (20 mins de neige pendant la route Ballarat-Melbourne, incroyable car c'est si rare et si tot dans l'hiver!)

Hello Kate!

Your photos are very nice, and there was many people at your FDU meeting. Great job, Kate !!!!

You made some FDU advert, and now there will be more frenchies on FDU from Melbourne.

In Fitzroy St, my chocolate shop was probably closed, but I'm sure that you went to see it.

And 20 min of snow on the Ballarat Road, I don't belive that.
You are sure that 's not for a film or a TV advertissing.
I already imagine skiing on the gold field.

Thank you Kate for this photos and good continuation for the future FDU meeting.

Salut Kate
